Are
you a graduate with expertise in software development and data analysis, with a
keen interest in energy conservation? Would you like to turn this into a career
opportunity?
We are looking to appoint a well organised, highly motivated
individual to take the lead role to develop software systems to analyse building
process energy usage and the data enhancing service provided to clients enabling
them to make greater carbon savings.
Employed by the University of Plymouth
on an 18 month fixed term contract with the possibility of continuing employment
with C3 Resources, you will work under the supervision of experts from the
School of Computing and Mathematics and the School of Architecture, Design and
the Environment.

Skills
required:

You will have graduated within the last 3 years with a BSc (Hons) 2.1 or above
in Computing or an IT related subject. You will have a professional approach
with the ability to work and deliver to meet deadlines. The successful applicant
must be a highly motivated individual with experience in software development
and very good Programming skills in a contemporary high level language e.g. Java
and / or C#. Knowledge of distributed systems development and an understanding
of pattern recognition techniques and / or Artificial Intelligence would be an
advantage. The ideal candidate will be articulate and numerate with a keen
interest in energy saving measures and reducing CO2 emissions. You will have a
professional approach, with the ability to work and deliver to meet deadlines. A
good command of the English language with an ability to communicate complex
concepts to a non academic audience is essential.

clients across the South West. This involves collecting and managing metered
building usage data on gas, electricity, water, compressed air, steam etc and
analysing the data to provide intelligence on activity, recommendations for
savings and verification of savings.
