This Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) is looking to appoint an ambitious PhD holder (or close to completion) seeking the unique opportunity to work with two research led organisations: UCL and an
ambitious start-up company Ventive Ltd.
This Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) requires a highly motivated individual with a PhD in Building Science or Indoor Air Quality with extensive experience of monitoring and/or modelling work in the field of the built environment.
The KTP Associate will help to shape the key future components of Low Carbon Buildings in the area of Natural Ventilation with Heat Recovery spanning both Retrofit and New Build in Commercial and Residential markets. The KTP Associate will analyse a number of innovative case studies which would incorporate parameters of importance to ventilation and indoor air quality in domestic and non-domestic buildings including occupants’ satisfaction regarding perceived indoor air quality and
thermal comfort. The energy performance will be analysed in the context of improved ventilation and indoor air quality for health and comfort.
The post is funded for 24 months in the first instance. The successful candidate will possess a first degree in chemistry, physics, engineering or architecture with PhD in Building Science or Indoor Air Quality or any other related field. The applicant should be seeking a challenging role requiring the confidence to work with Ventive senior management and staff, key clients and also academic staff within the UCL Institute for Environmental Design and Engineering. Experience of statistical data analysis. Ability to work collaboratively and as part of a team.

The 14th International Conference of the International Building Performance Simulation
Association (IBPSA); BS2015 will be held in Hyderabad, India from the 7th-9th December, 2015.
